A mini-festival full of Japanese cultural and sporting performances, language, dance, food-trucks and your chance to share in the culture of our sister city Minoh in Osaka. Come along and get the chance to win two return flights to Osaka, Japan courtesy of Air New Zealand – and your chance to visit our friends in our beautiful sister city Minoh.



Get a taste of Japan from Food trucks and stalls including GOGO Takoyaki, Mao & Co, Matsuda Shouten Japanese food truck, One-Bites Gourmet and Taiyaki

11:20am - Official welcome from Ray Wallace, Mayor of Lower Hutt, Chairman of Hutt Minoh House Friendship Trust and Vice President of Sister Cities New Zealand.
11:30am outside - Karate demo from Wellington Region Karate Academy
12:00pm outside - Taiko drumming workshop
12:30pm outside - Kendo/iaido/Naginata demonstration
1:30pm outside – Kyudo demonstration from Wellington Kyudo Club
2:00pm outside – Aikido demonstration


11:30am - "Genki Kids" choir performance
